Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
